Gamers Outreach is a charity that empowers hospitalized families through play. Their goal is to build a world where activity is easily prioritized as part of care. Video games are our tools of choice.
Why
they do it
Being in the hospital can be scary & isolating. Games give kids access to adventure & opportunities to socialize. Sometimes healthcare staff even use games to assist with treatment!

Gamers Outreach is a for-purpose organisation helping to restore a sense of joy and normalcy in the lives of hospitalized children. They believe the world is better when kids can play, and gamers have the power to help.
Through equipment and software, they’re on a quest to ensure every hospital is enabled to provide kids with activities alongside care.
The scale of the challenge is enormous but solvable. There are hundreds of paediatric hospitals in the United States alone. The infrastructure in these facilities varies, as does the level of staff-familiarity with games. They’re focused on delivering programs that reinforce both.
Whether it be deploying one of their portable GO Karts, or rallying a team of Player 2 volunteers, they partner with healthcare experts to create solutions that can be sustained.
In the midst of treatment, kids deserve a chance to be themselves. Video games are unique tools that provide children with access to digital playgrounds. Through gaming, kids can explore worlds, connect with others, express creativity, and most importantly – simply have fun.
