What is a Wallet?
A Web3 Wallet is simply a digital wallet that can be used as a store for Illuvials, Illuvitars, Illuvium Land, Weapons, Armour, and other items you may collect in Illuvium.
If you want to collect, purchase, sell items, trade currency, or Fuel in Illuvium, you will need a wallet to do so. continues.
Ethereum WalletIn order to trade in Illuvium’s ecosystem, you’ll need to have an Ethereum Wallet. Ethereum is a technology used for assets, tokens, and transacting with others without the need for a centralized authority. No need to hand over all your personal details to use Ethereum - You keep control of your own data, and assets.
Integration with Immutable XIlluvium uses Immutable X, a layer 2 technology for Ethereum that supports faster transactions and less fees when you trade Illuvium assets as compared to using only Ethereum. When trading within the Illuvium ecosystem and IlluviDex, you’ll see prompts to connect to Immutable X. While there is some minimal setup to start interacting with Immutable X, you can simply use Immutable X linked with your Ethereum Wallet.
How do I get a Wallet
There are many different types of wallets, but we recommend using a MetaMask wallet as they are compatible with Illuvium’s games and web applications.
Install the MetaMask extension for your chosen browser by clicking “Download” and then selecting your chosen browser. Once downloaded, the extension will appear and continue to exist in the top right of your browser.
Metamask.io currently supports the Google Chrome, FireFox, Brave, and Microsoft Edge web browsers.
Follow the prompts to “Create a Wallet”.
Important: Make sure you write down or store your seed phrase. If you wish to access your wallet on a different device in the future, or lose access to your wallet, this is the only way to do so. If you lose this, you will lose access to your wallet forever – neither we nor MetaMask will be able to restore it for you.

How do I link my Wallet to Illuvium?
Linking a wallet to your account allows you to purchase, own, and utilise in-game items such as land in Illuvium games.
Check that your wallet is linked to Illuvium by visiting the Account Settings page on the Illuvium Play app.
If you have not previously linked a Wallet to your account you may link one by pressing “Link Wallet to Account” and then a panel will pop up to guide you through the linking process. Select ‘Link Wallet’ on the pop up modal to begin the process.
- After you’ve pressed ‘Link Wallet’ an Immutable X Link Panel will pop up. If it doesn’t, ensure popups are enabled in your browser and try again.
- Check that your wallet address in the “Sign in with your wallet” popup screen matches the wallet address you want to connect to in your MetaMask wallet. If not is not the correct wallet, click the “Change” link seen above the current wallet address
- Once selected, click ‘Sign In’ to head to the signature screen.
- Click ‘Sign’ to sign the request to link your wallet to Immutable X.
- You have now setup your wallet with Immutable X, and are ready to link your wallet with your Illuvium account.
Now that you’ve setup your wallet with Immutable X, you’ll be prompted with a modal to confirm the link between your Illuvium Account and your Wallet.
Press ‘Confirm’ to confirm the link between your Illuvium Account and your Wallet.
Congratulations! Your Illuvium account and wallet have been successfully linked
Please note: You may unlink this wallet and link another at any time via the account settings menu.
