15. Joining the Blockchain Game Alliance to Promote NFT’s and Play-To-Earn in Gaming

Since 2018, the Blockchain Game Alliance has been spreading awareness about blockchain technologies and encouraging adoption through the use of NFTs, Play-to-Earn, highlighting their potential to foster new ways to create, publish, play, and build strong communities around games. There is no organization more dedicated to bringing focus on all of the accomplishments being made by innovators in blockchain gaming.

We appreciate BGA’s dedication to providing an open forum for individuals and companies to share knowledge and collaborate, create common standards, establish best practices, and network.

On March 15, BGA announced on their Twitter that we have officially joined their alliance.

Illuvium fits perfectly with BGA’s mission to embrace the use of NFT’s and play-to-earn, as a decentralized game offering world-class AAA quality artwork worthy of top gaming titles. “In a normal game all the data is stored on the server, which means you never truly have ownership of the things you collect. Like many other block chain games, in our world, when you capture something you own it. Permanently,” Aaron clarifies. “[In Illuvium,] the main collectible is the Illuvial NFT — which represents the creatures you fight, capture, evolve and bond with. We also feature a mining and forging system where players can create armor and weapons to help them fight in the world, because on Illuvium it isn’t just the creatures that do the fighting.”

In the phase one release, we expect casual and hardcore users. Some that will mostly utilize the free to play elements of the game, and some with very high average weekly spends.“We will first do this by making a fun game that people want to return to either by them wanting to get the whole collection, by fighting other people in the arena, or just by earning crypto,” Kieran says, noting that the best way to keep people long term is to provide them utility for their assets.
