Announcing Illuvium: Beyond Wave 4

Hello Beyond Collectors!
Let me start with a big Thank You to everyone who participated in some way, shape, or form in Illuvium: Beyond Wave 3.
Though not everything went smoothly, and some bugs plagued us almost until the very end of the Wave, the overall released ‘upgrade’ of Illuvium: Beyond went well! The system worked, and the game was able to track exactly what cosmetics you unlocked and allowed you to flex them upon your opponents.
Wave 3 gave us a lot more insight into what works, and what doesn’t. And so we’ve learned a lot about the game and we should develop it further, with your valuable feedback in mind.
For Wave 4, we will try to bring a range of changes—from aesthetics to QoL improvements to game mechanics. Focused on making the collection more appealing, more fun and more competitive!
Let me line up what you can expect.

The Beyond Rulebook!
To support you, the collector, we’re working on a comprehensive Illuvium: Beyond Rulebook & Collection Guide. This will serve as a go-to reference for understanding the game, tracking collection updates, and navigating the leaderboard mechanics. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just starting your Collection Journey, this guide aims to provide clarity on what matters most. We’d love to hear your insights—share your best tips and strategies so we can make this an invaluable resource for all players!
More Winners!
We’ve heard you, and agreed with you. For Wave 4, we will reward more places with cool leaderboard illuvitars. Where we will want to reward participation as well as fierce competition. Meaning everyone who makes its way in the top 250 will get ‘something’. And something unique and special for those that win or finish near the top!
Collections and the Album
We are aiming to bring changes to several collections inside of the album. We've alluded to a few updates we would like to do already but we can't give away too much information at this time as we're still investigating the technical possibilities. We'll share more in the coming weeks as we get closer to the launch of Wave 4

Leaderboard Enhancements
We’re looking at ways to make the leaderboard experience more intuitive and engaging. A revamped design will prioritise clarity, ensuring that reward structures are easy to understand and readily accessible. Our goal is to make competition more transparent and exciting!
Personal and Community Stretchgoals
Like with previous Waves - we will again introduce new personal and community wide stretchgoals! (not cyclical..) A whole new selection of cool Emotes, Skins, Blasts and Illuvitars will be up for grabs! However - slightly more nerfed than last time, how exactly, you will find out as we get there! In the rulebook probably!
These are just some of the key areas we’re focusing on for Wave 4, and we’re always open to feedback. Your input helps shape the experience, so don’t hesitate to share your thoughts—we want to make this the best Wave yet!
Wave 4 is planned for May, partly due to the changes we’re working on and also to accommodate the necessary backend migration imposed by AWS.
Wave 3 was a major step forward, but it also revealed areas for improvement. With the refinements we’re exploring for Wave 4, we’re confident we can take Illuvium: Beyond even further—stay tuned for more details as we get closer to launch!
