Arena Gauntlet - Balance Patch Notes 1.8.0d

Introduction 

This patch brings targeted adjustments to synergies, illuvials, and augments that were identified as overperforming or underperforming. Following our recent class adjustments, we are now introducing new thresholds for affinities to further refine balance. Additionally, various bug fixes and tooltip improvements have been implemented to enhance gameplay clarity.


Balance Changes

Synergies

  • Rogues:

    • Crit chance buffed from 5/12/20% → 5/13/20%.

    • Max threshold bonus: Crit Amp gain on Crit increased from 2% → 3%.

  • Vanguards:

    • Bonus Attack Damage based on target's max health reduced from 8/13/18% → 7/12/18%.

  • Frost:

    • Shield gain adjusted from 1000/2000/2500 → 1000/1700/2500.

  • Wildfire:

    • Damage based on energy cost reduced from 250/300/350% → 240/270/300%.

  • Affinity Thresholds Adjusted:

    • Water: 2/4/6/9 → 2/4/6/8. Energy Regen given 1/2/3/4, twice for water units.

    • Earth: 1/3/5/9 → 1/3/5/7. Mitigation 4/10/15/20, twice for earth units.

    • Fire: 1/3/5/8. Bonus AD 3/8/12/18%, twice for fire units.

    • Nature: 2/4/6/9. Missing Health Regen: 1/1.75/2.5/3.5%, twice for nature units.

    • Air: 2/4/6. Dodge: 7/15/20%, twice for air units.


Illuvials

  • Alphie/Synalph/Dualeph

    • Energy Resist is now percentual instead of flat and scales with Omega Power.

  • Ti’Ru/Tii’Ruo/Tibi’Rukko

    • Damage Buff now scales with Omega Power.

  • Lura/Lolura/Malura:

    • Omega charm and untargetability duration nerfed from 2.25/2.75/3.25s → 2/2.5/3s.

  • Slappin/Stabbin/Slashin:

    • Attack Damage reduced from 105/150/215 → 95/135/195.

    • Health increased from 1200/1600/2300 → 1250/1700/2450.

    • Attack speed bonus on omega increased from 20/30/40% → 30/40/50%.

  • Dash/Rake/Umbre:

    • Attack damage buffed from 100/130/190 → 105/135/195.

  • Rypter/Rypterus/Ryplance::

    • Attack damage increased from 85/115/190 → 85/125/190.

    • Health increased from 1150/1700/2500 → 1150/1800/2600.


Legendary Augments

  • Defiant Retribution:

    • Resistance reduction reduced from 50 → 15.


Drone Augments

  • T0 Overdrive:

    • Damage Amp and Reduction reduced from 10/20/30% → 5/10/15%.


Augments

  • Power Diverter:

    • Attack Speed per Omega reduced from 10% → 7%.


Bug Fixes & Miscellaneous

  • Added two rules for Drone Augments.

    • Players cannot receive the same or phase-existing Drone Augment when they reroll one.

    • After picking a Drone Augment, players will not receive the same or a different stage in the future phases.

  • Reduced the color variety in tooltips for improved clarity.

  • Improved the damage calculation formula display on the Illuvial Omega tooltip.

  • Increased the width of the Omega Description tooltip.

  • Fixed an issue causing Headi/Krunk/Blotto Damage Reduction to not scale properly with Omega Power.

  • Fixed an issue causing the Fortress Protocol Drone Augment to not trigger.

  • Fixed an issue causing the Rejuvenating Pulse Drone Augment not to heal.

  • Fixed a timing issue on Resonant Bond Drone Augment.

  • Fixed an issue causing Duskfall and Arctic Dominion to activate even after the holder was killed.

  • Reduced the number of Tier 0 Illuvials in the pool from 12 → 5, ensuring at least one of each affinity and class to balance final thresholds and allow more Stage 3 versions.

  • Fixed an issue causing Power Diverter to grant more Attack Speed than intended.

  • Fixed some crashes.


Known Issues

  • The new T0 system may grant you a Nature Doka, but the default starter Illuvial is an Earth Doka. Currently, selling the starter Illuvial returns it to the pool, potentially introducing an Illuvial that doesn't match the designated T0s for that game. To ensure consistency, in a future release we will implement a solution where the initial T0 Illuvial always aligns with the affinity of that game’s pool. This way, if you sell it, it will seamlessly integrate with the available pool for that match.

  • Drone occasionally disappears during PvE rounds.

  • Enemy units disappear from the opponent board when you ascend a weapon/suit. On battle start or after the opponent performs an action will make the units reappear. 

  • Grokko, Slappin, Stabbin and Slashin, Arcanite have minor desciption errors.

  • Rerolling a Drone Augment may occasionally result in the same augment appearing again within the same selection phase despite the new Drone Augment rules.
