Illuvium Launch: What to Expect and How to Prepare

Rangers, the moment we've all been waiting for is almost here! The official launch of Illuvium is just around the corner, and we’re excited for you to jump in and start playing the world’s first Interoperable Blockchain Game! As we approach the big day, we want to ensure you're fully prepared and know what to expect. This blog provides everything you need to know for the big day. 

Launch Schedule:

• July 25th, 18:00 UTC: Game Launch (Download + Cinematic + Tutorial)

  • These first 2 hours will allow everyone to set up their accounts, download the client from Epic Games and go through the tutorial before opening region travel.

• July 25th, 20:00 UTC: 

  • Region travel is open for everyone.

This is not the paradise promised.

Stranded on an alien planet, you awaken from cryosleep aboard a damaged spaceship, finding yourself thrust into a crisis that sets the stage for an epic adventure. From the moment you open your eyes, you're immersed in a world of conflict and mystery, pulling you into the heart of the action.

Your first steps in this new world are guided as you learn to navigate your surroundings and master the technology at your disposal. Alongside a loyal companion drone, you'll quickly adapt to your new reality, mastering enhanced movement capabilities, wielding powerful weapons and facing off against formidable creatures. As you explore, you'll gather vital resources that play a crucial role in repairing your damaged ship, your lifeline in this foreign environment.

As you complete your training and step into your role as a Ranger, you'll find yourself equipped to face the dangers ahead, ready to uncover the planet's secrets and forge your own path. You'll discover mysterious Obelisks, structures that hold the key to traversing this alien world. As you complete missions, you'll encounter conflicting views about the true nature of this planet, challenging your perceptions of your surroundings.

Rangers Day 1:

1. Illuvium Zero:

   • City Building & Resource Management: As a recon drone jettisoned from the main ship before impact, your mission is to establish a thriving outpost on this alien world. Start building your city and managing resources effectively to support the broader mission of survival and discovery.

   • Fuel Production: Optimise your fuel output to power the Rangers' exploration efforts. The fuel you produce on your land plots is vital for Rangers exploring and capturing Illuvials in the vast alien landscapes, creating a seamless connection between your operations and their missions.

   • Research and Development: Expand your influence by researching new technologies and studying alien life. Unlock rare blueprints that allow Rangers to enhance their gear and even create a new look inspired by Illuvials, helping you blend in with the wildlife.

   • Economic Empowerment: While all players can participate in city-building, owning land grants you the ability to trade fuel and blueprints on the market, enhancing your economic influence.

   • Future Innovations: Your role will evolve over time. Land will play host to new technologies that will further aid your people, ensuring your outpost remains at the forefront of progress on this alien landscape.

2. Illuvium Overworld:

   • Your First Experience: Begin your journey with an immersive introduction that guides you through your purpose as a Ranger and helps you build essential skills. Learn to navigate the alien terrain, gather resources, and interact and capture Illuvials.

   • Exploration and Collection: After mastering the basics, venture forth to build your collection of Illuvials. Forge specialised gear, create shards, and craft unique items to aid in your adventures across diverse landscapes.

   • Missions: Undertake a variety of challenging missions that test your skills and push you to explore further. Each completed mission brings you closer to your goal, and unravelling the secrets of this world.

   • Grow In Power: Watch as your Illuvials grow stronger with each deployment in battle. They gain experience over time, increasing their abilities. For even greater strength, fuse Illuvials together to create more formidable forms.

   • Community Interaction: Connect with fellow Rangers in your region through real-time chat. Stay informed about recent captures and ongoing events. This feature lays the groundwork for expanded social interactions, with more community-driven content planned for future updates.

3. Illuvium Arena:

   • Strategic Combat: Step into the Arena, a thrilling diversion from your main mission where Rangers can blow off steam, and showcase their tactical prowess and the strength of their team.

   • Competitive Spirit: Pit your captured Illuvials against other Rangers' in intense auto-battles. Climb the global rankings, proving your worth and earning recognition as a master tactician.

   • High-Stakes Tournaments: Participate in regular events that push your skills to the limit. Compete for glory, exclusive rewards, and the chance to be crowned the ultimate Arena champion.

   • Diverse Game Modes:

     • Ascendant: Engage in high-pressure 1v1 battles, testing your strategy against a single opponent as you ascend through the ranks.

     • Survival Mode: Face endless waves of Illuvials (and more) in this challenging PvE mode, perfect for honing your skills and pushing your limits.

     • Gauntlet Mode: Enter an 8-player free-for-all, where quick thinking and adaptability are key to emerging victorious.

4. Illuvium Beyond:

   • Beyond Illuvium: Step into a realm that exists beyond the main game world, where Illuvials don fancy attire and adorn themselves with intricate war paint. This whimsical dimension offers a… unique perspective on your favourite friends.

   • Thematic Card Collection: Immerse yourself in the art of collection as you acquire beautifully illustrated cards depicting Illuvials in their most extravagant forms. Each card is a miniature masterpiece, showcasing Illuvials in ways you've never seen before.

   • Rewards Through Completion: As you complete your album, you'll unlock exclusive rewards that bridge the gap between Beyond and the Illuvium Universe. Your dedication as a collector directly enhances your experience as a Ranger. Flaunt unique battle boards, show off exclusive suit skins, and express yourself with special emotes–all earned through your Beyond collections.

1. Airdrop Campaign:

• Season 1:  With the official game launch, we mark the start of Season 1 of the 6-month airdrop campaign. Players will be rewarded over the next 6 months with a pool of 180,000 $ILV, portioning out 30,000 $ILV per season. 

• Airdrop Points: Earn airdrop points by completing tasks, missions, and milestones in-game to earn more airdrop points and a larger piece of the pooled rewards.
