Illuvium Zero Patch 1.0.4 Fuel Economy Update

Illuvium Zero Patch 1.0.4 is now live! This significant economic patch aligns the land's fuel supply more with current demand. Although this is a more substantial update, it is only for backend systems, so there is no need to download a new client. Just restart your game.
Summary
Reduce the fuel output from land plots by about 4x (25% of the previous value) through extraction and passive generation
Change converters to be 100% conversion at 150% efficiency
Adjust fuel building costs by between 20% and 40% of the previous value depending on building type
Rebalance the costs of scanning and the costs of research
Fuel Extraction
Our main goal is to reduce overall end fuel output per plot by 4x. We’ve reduced the fuel output for lower stages by a smaller amount to make the hurdles felt for lower tier plots feel less insurmountable in relative terms, we’ve also upped the resource cost a bit to compensate for the longer duration.
For each fuel extractor:
Stage 1: 1 every 2 hours at 50k resource cost → 1 every 4 hours at 80k resource cost
Stage 2: 3 every 4 hours at 120k resource cost → 2 every 6 hours at 150k resource cost
Stage 3: 10 every 8 hours at 300k resource cost → 4 every 8 hours at 280k resource cost
Stage 4: 25 every 12 hours at 600k resource cost → 8 every 12 hours at 550k resource cost
Stage 5: 70 every 24 hours at 1500k resource cost → 15 every 16 hours at 1000k resource cost
Stage 6: 100 every 24 hours at 2000k resource cost → 25 every 24 hours at 1600k resource cost
Passive generation
For each fuel converter:
Stage 1: 6 every 12 days in 6 cycles → 2 every 12 days in 2 cycles
Stage 2: 12 every 12 days in 6 cycles → 3 every 12 days in 2 cycles
Stage 3: 18 every 12 days in 6 cycles → 4 every 12 days in 4 cycles
Stage 4: 24 every 12 days in 12 cycles → 6 every 12 days in 4 cycles
Stage 5: 36 every 12 days in 12 cycles → 8 every 12 days in 6 cycles
Stage 6: 48 every 12 days in 12 cycles → 12 every 12 days in 6 cycles
Conversion
For each fuel converter and each conversion:
Stage 1: 10 to 7 every 6 hours → 3 to 2 every 6 hours
Stage 2: 20 to 14 every 6 hours → 6 to 4 every 6 hours
Stage 3: 50 to 35 every 12 hours → 15 to 10 every 12 hours
Stage 4: 80 to 56 every 12 hours → 24 to 16 every 12 hours
Stage 5: 180 to 126 every 24 hours → 60 to 40 every 24 hours
Stage 6: 250 to 175 every 24 hours → 75 to 50 every 24 hours
Storage
We’ve not changed fuel storage accordingly in this patch due to added technical complexity, this will be adjusted later
Building Cost Adjustments
Every single building that costs fuel as been reduced to between 20% and 40% of its original value, tending more towards 20% for earlier progression and more towards 40% for higher stage buildings. Some notable exceptions include:
Data Bank Stage 1: 200 → 30
Fuel storage is kept the same since it was out of balance with other similar buildings
Zero Point Transducer and Podarium unchanged
Scanning Changes
The scanning costs have been rebalanced, especially for higher stages of the Singularity Scanner. This aligns with our idea that the “Scan/Research” focus should be removed from the “Fuel Magnate” focus.
Stage 1: 10 of each Fuel → 6 of each Fuel
Stage 2: 15 of each Fuel → 9 of each Fuel
Stage 3: 20 of each Fuel → 12 of each Fuel
Stage 4: 25 of each Fuel → 15 of each Fuel
Stage 5: 30 of each Fuel → 18 of each Fuel
Research Changes
Similar to the thinking for scanning, research costs have been increased in relative terms, especially for higher stages of research.
Stage 1: 10 of each Fuel → 6 of each Fuel
Stage 2: 15 of each Fuel → 9 of each Fuel
Stage 3: 20 of each Fuel → 12 of each Fuel
Stage 4: 25 of each Fuel → 15 of each Fuel
